Frequently Asked Questions
What power is required?
The Trend 20.0 outboard motor is suitable for small dinghies as well as larger boats up to approx. 45 feet. As a rule of thumb, depending on the hull shape and area (reserves against wind and waves), approx. 1-2kW per ton of cruising weight can be assumed. For an exact configuration, please contact a specialist dealer or Aquamot.
How long can you drive approximately with the Trend 20.0?
The driving time naturally depends on the capacity and quality of the batteries.
Below are examples with the Aquamot Longlife Deep-Cycle batteries.
| Trend 15.0 with 4 Aquamot ALS batteries 12V/260Ah | Trend 20.0 with 8 Aquamot ALS batteries 12V/260Ah | |
|---|---|---|
| Partial load | 02 h 55 min | 03 h 40 min |
| Half load | 01 h 40 min | 02 h 05 min |
| Full load | 00 h 45 min | 00 h 55 min |
Can the battery bank be increased or decreased with the Trend 20.0?
Of course, there are many ways to increase or decrease the range. In principle, however, only traction batteries should be used, which have also been designed for higher currents over a longer period (ATTENTION: no starter batteries or semi-traction batteries). In addition, a minimum capacity of at least 110Ah is recommended. All batteries should have the same capacity in order to achieve the highest possible service life. Always ask your Aquamot dealer or Aquamot about the capacity design beforehand.
What is included?
In general, everything is included in the drive package except batteries and charger. Thus, with remote steering, the driving lever and on-board computer are also supplied, with tiller control this is integrated into the motor unit. The cable lengths are standardized (3m main lines, 30cm the battery brackets, 6m to the display and driving lever). A cable extension can of course be supplied.
How long is the warranty period?
The warranty period is 2 years.
